butterflyThis morning I was reading in Deut 30:19,20:

“…Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord you God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life and he will give you many years in the land…”

Choose life?

How does one choose life on a daily basis?

I know Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life” so I’ve chosen Him! But, how do I choose Him daily?

What does that look like when I speak to people? What does that look like in how I interact with my family, with others? What does that look like when I hear someone grumbling and complaining? The tendency may be to grumble and complain and give up and hide myself away or abruptly answer someone because I’m too tired and don’t have the energy to solve another problem.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

“Dear God, help me to choose life and choose you daily – however that may look. Help me to shine your light and your life and listen to your voice, hold fast to you and receive your life so that others may be drawn to you and your promise of life. You are the source of life – not me. Please draw those to you who despertately need your life. Amen”

One Response to “Need A Little Life?”

  1. I just found your website while looking for the source of some quotes. I’m glad I found it. Great passage! I’ve been reading in 2 Chronicles 31:20 having to do with Hezekiah. “Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God.”
    Thank you!
    God Bless!
I’ll be back to explore your web site more.
