Focusing Your Family’s Hearts at Christmas (Advent)

How can you be purposeful in helping your family focus on Christ at Christmas?
…And not on the consumerism and anxiety around you?
Christmas every year has the potential to become like the first one…. people busily traveling to a destination and completely missing the focus… or people searching it out high and low to worship the Christ child… even in the messiest of places in which we find ourselves in.
“More than any other activity, the Advent season can restore Jesus to the center of the Christmas celebration.”
What is Advent?
Advent season is the time leading up to Christmas. On each Advent day the birth of Jesus is read, sung and talked about. The whole family can participate and the memories will last a lifetime.
When?: Advent starts on the fourth Sunday before Christmas. Because Christmas falls on different days each year, Advent can last 22 to 28 days.
