We are turning a black piece of paper into gold…
Jr Kids Church Contest!
In our Jr Big Room, we have a big black piece of paper and will be putting gold stickers on it to turn it into completely gold. When we do that, the kids want to do a chocolate fondue in Kids Church!! (Yup, they listed off all kinds of ideas, we voted and they chose a fondue!)
Here’s how it works…
We will give your child who…
- remembers to bring their Bible -1 sticker for the poster!
- brought a new friend- 2 stickers!
- memorizes the verse- 1 sticker! The Bible Memory Verse will always be in the bulletin. (Last week’s and this week’s verse: Galatians 2:20 in the NIV…)
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2:20
Each week, encourage your child to bring their Bible and work on the memory verse. Encourage them to pray for God to help them think of a possible friend to bring to Jr Kids Church and welcome them here with us.
Our goal is to make lifelong habits that will bring deep impact into your children and their relationship with God and their relationship with others they know. So, this is meant to be a fun contest (not a guilt inducing one) and that’s why we are doing it all together. If everyone brings a Bible, we should fill up the poster in about 5 Sundays!
(***And if your child doesn’t have their own Bible, by all means, have them talk to me. I’ve got some brand new ones available. Or I encourage you to take them one evening to the House of James and find one together. My boys and I did this when it was time for them to graduate from a toddler Bible and it was a memorable experience! They were so excited.)
Thank you for allowing me to partner with you!
